
Ten years have passed since the United States was shocked by the most powerful attack ever carried out against the Continental US since the War of Independence. It came as a total surprise, without any warning and hit two citadels of Western civilisation, New York the financial capital of the world and Washington D.C. its political and military centre.
Following the attacks it was discovered that various branches of the US intelligence community had bits and pieces of crucial intelligence, but were unable to interpret or tie them together so as to draw the necessary conclusions.
