Blood agents

Blood agents are less well known, but still very deadly agents. Once absorbed through the lungs they rapidly block oyygen circulation around the body.  Within the family of blood agents, there are two main agents, hydrogen cyanide and cyanogen chloride, but also others exist, such as cyanogen bromide, arsine and vinyl arsine. The agents cause the body to fail to absorb oxygen in the blood, causing a shortage of oxygen that can cause death. The LCt50 of hydrogen cyanide is 1,000 while that of cyanogen chloride is 7,000.
